Bought these on whim, for your basic train ride to work I don't mind. But its far from being the best I have own.

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I haven't heard the Westone 1s, sorry :(
Is there a big difference between the 012 and the 112? The 112 is $130..
The 012 comes with a green filter that emphasizes the bass while the 112 comes with two filters: a black (bass+treble emphasis) filter, and a grey mid-range emphasizing filter. Everything else is the same.

The 700x are rather difficult to get a good fit with and to maintain the fit. I could get a decent fit with them but they would slip out from time to time because the bullet casings are a bit heavy. I imagine the fit would be worse if you have ear holes that are smaller then medium.
fwiw - i didn't get much usage out of mine. Approximately 50 hours of burn-in and 50 hours of use and now there is a very noticeable balance problem between the right and left channels. I know IEM's are rather fragile, but this was the worst I've encountered. A lot of the same complaints on amazon too.

I wear them over the ear, so they do not slip out. Small ears here... My burn in time on my 700M is about 100 hours (give or take a few). I have the 770X burning in right now. They are a lot easier to get a fit with, but do sound different (more focus on midrange which makes them more balanced overall).
