Fostex T50RP, Need Help Modding

Thread Starter
Well, finally saved enough courage to do this, I need help with modding these headphones. I don't understand fully what the modders are saying when they show you. Also, I cannot afford a pair of smeggy's Thunderpants because I'm only a high school student. So i am going to need someone to go step by step showing me how to create a good modification for these cans. If they sound as good as LCD2's and are less then 100 dollars then I'm in. redface.gif

take some time and actually read through the thread.  There's also a t5rp mods wiki that links to important posts in the thread.  It's relatively straightforward as long as your willing to take the time to do some research

I'm in the same boat. I'm a Junior and am making some thunderpants. Thanks to woodshop, I already know how to turn the cups and the baffles. In a week or two, when I start actually constructing them, I'll probably post updates regularly, if that would help at all. Right now, I'm more or less following this page: http://www.diyaudioblog.com/2011/09/modifying-fostex-t50rp-headphones.html , as he goes through it step by step and doesn't use a lot of technical words. Hope that helps, unless you've already been there of course.

I had trouble figuring out what was going on, until someone posted a link to the wiki.
