Don't listen to anything busy, with lots of stuff going on. The ckm50 have poor separation, and get muddied up crazy fast.

Dude, go back under the bridge you came from. Why do you feel the need to be so obnoxious? He's obviously enjoying his purchase, and so are many people who have the CKM50 as well some top-tier iems. You do this in most threads you post in, If you have nothing to add to the conversation besides incessant negativity, please don't post and ruin it for everyone else.

Some of up are just amazed how much sound comes from the bargain iems. Especially since a few of us spent a lot more and have gotten a lot less.

Maybe if you prefer the x10 you just like balanced armatures not dynamic drivers. Each has a sound signature. I've found the 50 to be warm and resonant but it doesn't stop me from enjoying it.

I got one better for ya eke. XanderTJ. Why don't you show us one we can all enjoy for $25 then..I would like to see what you consider a great deal for $25 and do some comparisons myself..Why don't you buy 15 iems like I did to find one and then we will see how good it is compared to these CKM50s. If not then please no one here is feeling your negativity you feel me? Simply show this community better for the $25 instead of saying there is so much wrong with these CKM50s. No one forced you to get them and if you don't like them I am willing to bet you. You can sell those off easily. Don't like them, get rid of them and move on. Or return them for a refund.

See what I don't get is people that complain yet they don't show the community better. Man you have no idea what I had to do to find these. Everyone is entitled to what they like but if you have something better for us why don't you throw up your recommend to all of us. I will personally buy it to see if it is all that and a bag o chips. If it is I will support it 100%. I am sure you know at least a dozen right? Cuz there are so many outstanding iems that cost less than $25.

Everyone get ready for the XanderTJ great find thread. I can't wait.

Please stop trolling! Enough already!

I don't have these IEMs, but I don't doubt their quality. I have the CKS50 model and they sound pretty darned good when listening to flac files with a little eq tweaking on rockbox. I used to suspect that they were fakes, but they sound too good. Not mindblowing good, but very solid.

My CKM50 arrived today. The only other IEM I have for comparison is a Sennheiser CX 485, which I picked up for about $25 (MSRP is about $90, normal street price $30 - $45), so it's a reasonable comparison.

The CKM50 has not burned in yet. I'll just offer initial impressions for now, just in case that phenomenon is real.

Bass: The bass of the CKM50 is as overemphasized as I feared. This may be the greatest weakness of the CKM50, with respect to sound quality. It sounds as though a subwoofer is turned up WAY too loud. Bass heads rejoice; audiophiles beware. By comparison, the CX 485 also responds down below 20 Hz, but the level of the bass is more in line with the rest of the frequency range, so sounds much more natural.

Highs: Both the CKM50 and the CX 485 seem to have a bit too much emphasis on highs, but not too bad. While the CKM50's highs are not nearly as harsh as its bass is overemphasized, it does have slightly worse sibilance than the CX 485.

Mids: Due to it's V shape, the mids sound more recessed on the CKM50 than the CX 485, but the effect isn't as bad as I anticipated.

Detail: The CKM50 has surprisingly good detail for being as bass heavy as it is. In fact, the excellent detail is easily its best feature. Here, the CX 485 is bested.

Imaging: The CKM50 seems to have a slightly wider soundstage than the CX 485, but the difference is minimal. Neither is bad nor great.

Overall sound: Despite the better detail and wider soundstage of the CKM50, the CX 485, with its flatter frequency response, wins here. It just sounds more natural.

Isolation: The CKM50 has better isolation, but it's much more difficult to get a good seal than with the CX 485. Hopefully this will change as I get used to them.

I'm not sure what to think of the cable of the CKM50. It's either too short or too long, depending on the configuration. I bought an armband and skin for my iPod Nano to make the best of it.

The CX 485 has an inline volume control, which can be used to eliminate line noise from the source. This is a significant advantage over the CKM50 (which is also a low resistance earphone) for me, but not necessarily for everyone. With the CKM50, I have to suffer through the line noise.

The two IEM have different strengths and weaknesses. Overall, its just too early for me to say which I like better; it's close. But, I'm leaning towards the CX 485, due to it sounding more natural, which makes it sound good across more genres. If not for the bass of the CKM50, it would be no contest, but the extra bass just detracts so much from the overall sound. I'll use the CKM50 for 2-3 weeks, and then try the CX 485 again to see how I like it in comparison.

Ironic how I got the CKM55s after the CX300s.

I haven't found them to get confused at all with busier tracks.

What tracks in particular are you referring to?

And what is your reference iem/can?

How's gaming on the ckm50s, and the ckm77s guys?

I think gaming on the CKM77s would actually be perfect. Vivid imaging with great detail.  One of the reasons why I always thought the Isurus was using an AT driver. Still do actually.

Let me know how you like them CKM77s. You are gonna be shocked at how close they sound to the A900X. It kinda blew my mind actually. Lol!! Which coincidentally also happens to be my favorite gaming cans.

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUU!!! Just bought got my CKM-50 so far they're pretty good. Not much of an improvement from the Isurus which I really like a lot, but this is without burn in, we'll see how it fares afterwards. But now Im reading that the CKM-33 and the Soundmagic PL30 are better than this... like wtf. I should stop jumping on Dsnut's gems and wait a few days till reviews are in.

I bet just as durable too! Bending the headphones, it is really good and resistant, doesn't feel like there's a breaking point.
