OK to use HiFiMAN EF2A as a dac only?

I currently use the EF2A as a dac/amp combo. However, in about 10 days, I am going to be ordereding a Valhalla or Lyr from Schiit to use as my main amp. Until I can get my hands on a Bifrost, would there be any problems using the EF2A as a DAC between my source and the Shiit amp? Many thanks.

I don't THINK that's an issue, but I know the dac is the weak point in the EF2A. Someone else may be better at giving an opinion on this, but maybe sell your EF2A and get a standalone DAC such as the Musicstreamer 2, or a dac/amp where the dac is the strong point =)

Yeah, I would just be using it as a stop gap for about a month before I get a Bifrost.

No other thoughts? Would I be better off just dumping the EF2A altogether for now and just going source --> amp ---> cans until I can get the Bifrost?
