I just bought an upgrade cable for my Senn HD600's that looks to be made of Canare L-4E5AT, and I was informed this is Mini Star Quad cable. The first thing I noticed when plugging it in was not really an improvement. The sound seemed flatter, less fun and involving and the midrange seemed recessed. The sound is more upfront, but the overall quality not really better. I'm using a Fiio E7 + E9 combo. What other cable should I try? Cardas? Mogami?
