If you are thinking of buying from any of the linked ads that appear when either Googling or appear as a targeted adverts on Amazon, do yourself a favour and check their feedback carefully.

I shall be buying from Amazon themselves or V-moda to be on the safe side.

Probably the wrong thread for elaboration but out of curiosity why and what kind of sound would excite you?

So I got super impatient and ordered myself M-100's (girlfriend is paying for half for xmas, so I just went ahead and ordered it immediately).... And now my patience is wearing even more thin... without knowing when the shipment is even going out, I'm getting anxious and excited, the more I look at them the less I have any regrets, and the more I read about them, the less I'm decided I will regret them. I almost can't contain it. I got the email saying "Awaiting shipment"

I dunno if anyone else knows of this saying, but at the hospital I work at, it's very common: 'hurry up and wait'. That's how I feel in this thread lol.

When are the site orders they expected to ship?

Looking forward to Tylls review -- always thorough and insightful. And it has the added benefit for me that I really dig his sound signature preferences...

Would be quite interesting to know if Amazon UK (or any other outfit selling to Austria) will carry the M100 (and have them in stock) in december... in that case I'd cancel my preorder to avoid the import tax-hassles. Vals last statement sounded to me as if that might be the case...

In my experience I only ever get dinged with customs charges via private mail services such as FedEx, UPS etc. My girlfriend orders tonnes of Australian clothes that sometimes comes up to $350 bucks for a few pairs of leggings and a dress lol. But only ever get charged customs on fedex orders. Regular mail, though slow, tends to avoid customs.

How would tax get added on? I've always been confused by that. Would delivery come to the door ordering more money on the spot?

That's usually how it works, yes.  I think Fed-Ex sometimes has a system where they cover it for you and you can pay it later, but they're pretty adamant about getting it back quickly.

Great Tyll! Look forward to reading it.

BTW. Will you ever do a Ultrasone Sig Pro review? Did you just not like it enough to do a full review? Trying to find the "ultimate" closed phone.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what are "customs"? I've seen it brought up every now and then and I don't know what it is. >.>

Import and export officials. Some things demand an extra cost to import into a country

It's a tax for bringing something into a country that was produced or bought in a different one.

Oh I see, that makes sense then. Thanks for the clarification.
