Amen to that!  As I stated in the M80 thread....a lot of companies should pay close attention to what your're doing and model themselves this way.

I wish I didn't have to work today, so I could just refresh this page endlessly fr the final updates..

.. Then again, I need money to actually BUY the headphones with. biggrin.gif

Thanks again for another awesome update Val! Can't wait to hear more on the Pre-Production units, and the sound sig of the M-100!

As much as I agree - I think they may not be. Consider this - you're getting their next flagship headphone.. signed.. before anyone else can get it.. I'm assuming the price will be slightly higher..

.. That is, unless we get a "Head-Fi Discount"..? tongue.gif

a pre-production model would be amazing after all it's a v-moda product so even being a pre-production model it should be quite amazing and stand the test of time just like every other product Val has put out. regular_smile%20.gif and i just want to congratulate Val on all his hard work for putting out the Vamp out... it is really a fantastic product. biggrin.gif.... Thank you Val for all the hard work you put into your products and all your dedication to v-moda.

These m100s sound extremely interesting.
I was planning to go to b&h to try and possibly buy the hd25-1 ii for portable use. I was wondering if I should wait for the m100s because I really like the m80s sound I just did not like that they were on-ears. biggrin.gif

Definitely wait then - the M-100's goal is to take the neutral EQ and "open" sound-stage from the M-80, and combine it with the better bass of the LP2, and put it into one headphone. The pre-production units should be ready within the week/early next week (my estimate), and the full launch should be around July 4th.

another day goes by waiting for this headphone. sigh

put me on the list for one too, but I think it would be cool if val made a head-fi edition m100

Val, please take as much time as you want.  I'll definitely be buying this product.  If I happen to miss out on the pre-production models, I'll still be happy with a stock m-100.

Thank you.

I think im going to wait for the pre production units. I would consider the m100s pretty portable if they're the same size as the LP2s.
Would you assume that the m100s will sound better and isolate better than the hd 25-1 ii. In NYC, it's really noisy in the trains and in the city.

Because of the v-vents on the cups, I don't expect them to isolate too well. This was the case with the M80's and LP2's.

But keep in mind, they are not open headphones, so they still do isolate quite a bit, just not quite as much as a proper sealed headphone. The HD-25-ii is an example of a fully sealed on ear headphone.

I have to say, I'm nervous about possibly missing out on the pre-production models while I'm at work today...
