Lol. What's to know? I've compared it to other headphones and come to that conclusion. Eg, I think the AT M40x sounds better, and at a third of the price.

Obviously I'm not a Vmoda fanboy afraid to say a bad thing about their products. And judging by your equipment, you are.

Have you even heard any headphones from another company?

Yes, I may join the bandwagon and buy a pair. Interestingly, only the matte black version is reduced in price: the Shadow and White are still £270. Any ideas why that's the case?

All three show at $299 on Amazon US....

I've also heard of issues with V-Moda honoring the warranty when purchased through Amazon, even though you can register your Amazon purchase with V-Moda....just a thought. Ordering through V-Moda directly will get you a second pair of shields....but you're left paying $310.

He quoted a price in pound, so ordering from US might not be an option... import tax + shipping makes that quite expensive.

I'm actually from the UK. Amazon UK has the matte versions cheaper......

Besides, the V Moda website is for America only, the pricing is in dollars. I'd be better off buying from Amazon and saving £71.

That's a good point. I guess it just depends on where they are coming from. I ordered from V-Moda directly and they were shipped from Los Angeles. According to the packaging, that's where they are manufactured. The box said something like "designed in Italy, made in Hollywood".

I think they are actually made in China, like many things today... nevertheless V-Moda sells from the US, so ordering directly from them incurs taxes and higher shipping charges when not residing in the US. Still waiting for their EU headquarter Val talked about quite some time ago...

Yes you're right. The V Moda website is specific to the US, there is no UK alternative so if I did buy from the v Moda website, I'd have to pay for shipping costs etc.

Seeing as though I can get the matte versions for £198 from Amazon (which is the authorised dealer cited on the V Moda website) I think it's a pretty damn good deal :)
