Looking to swap shadow m100s for matte black. PM me.
My m100s are in pretty much perfect condition.

I can't buy the XL pads since they don't ship to my country :C

Now I'm stuck with a pair of uncomfortable headphones which hurts my head after an hour of usage.

Does anyone know of any headphone with a similiar sound signature to the v moda m100, but a non portable larger earpad diameter type headphone? I love the sound signature, I love these cans for being mobile.. but for the most part I can't wear them for extended periods of time at all.. even with the larger cups they are just uncomfortable for me. Is something like the DT770 pro or A900x what I am looking at?

Would u like to consider iems? I actually found the m100s to be a better sounding big brother to the jvc fxd 80s. By better i mean (more sub and midbass, slightly more natural and thicker midrange) better clarity and detail . But i got my jvc fxd 80s for 50$ and i got my m100s for $339. Soo something worth trying if ur not sure if the m100 sound sig is for u, cause its cheap and well built (stainless steel)

Someone posted that the B&W P7 has a similar sound signature as the M100.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you're asking me whether the ODAC/O2 sounds better than the output of my portable device (Samsung Galaxy Note 3/Fiio E18) then yes, it does. By miles.

The M-100's don't gain so much from the ODAC/O2 as my Q701's do but I think the bass is fuller, not bloated though. The mids are quite a bit better IMO,with more detail and more sharply focused. It's not a huge difference though to what's achieved by the E18.

I get the same general result every time though, no matter what headphones I use with the ODAC/O2 combo I just stop thinking about EQ. It's a very cohesive sound. Given that the whole raison d'être of the O2 is to be transparent then I have to conclude that the sonic benefits in detail and imaging I'm hearing must be down to the ODAC.

May I ask, why do you want to swap the shadow black version to matte black?

True, and this is why I don't post much any more.

Been really liking my m100's over the past few days. I don't really have any issues with comfort, I have worn them for around 3 hours straight. I ordered the xl pads anyway cuz they're relatively cheap and I'm looking forward to demo'ing the sound difference.
On a side note, this page number is f'in 1337!

Nothing to do with headphones so to everyone else I apologise but no, I wouldn't actually consider that fun. I gave up upgrading Windows after the Vista farce and, W7 excepted, 8 has done nothing to make me regret switching to Mac. My particular Mac mini is a juke box, nothing more. I access the internet via either my iPad or my SGN3. I'm 50 years old and work 60 hours per week in a manual job. I have little time for games.
