Having said that though I'm getting a helluva problem with the treble spike on the Q's that I don't have to deal with in the M's. Actually, I'm finding the M's lower treble-upper mids to be quite soothing. What I'm really looking for which will benefit both I think is a better DAC/amp.

I just watched Miceblues YouTube video on how to replace the pads, it looks really easy. Great job on the Video Mice blue!

Fixed =D

BTW, I hate to drop my opinion on what I hear on this vs this. But there was a soundstage enlargement.

That's true. I use the K 701 for more vocal and instrumental works at home though, so the treble spike doesn't really get to me.

Yup yup, no problem! People seemed to have difficulty removing the earpads, so I just made the video to demonstrate the way I've been doing it between the different earpads colours and types.

With the XL's? That's what I'm hoping for?

For some there will be. Particularly if your ears were cramped in the standard pads. Mine kinda tucked in there so I didn't notice much of a difference beyond it being more comfortable.

I was fine with stock until I bought the AKG Q701's and suddenly I'm aware how tight the V-Moda's are. The only pita is that they don't sell the pads in Europe.

not sure if this was stated but if anyone here has tried the momentums how are the sizes for the earpads?

i was demoing the focal professional and the momentums,

the focals  fit in like i have probably 2mm of extra space

while the momentums didnt really fit once i put it on and after shuffling the earpad around it finally sunk in but i could feel the inside of the earpads so i would say JUST IN

the store owner said he tried the m100s which are slightly bigger didn't say exactly but he didn't stock vmoda products so dunno

The Momentums are only "over-ear" by name. They're really oversized on-ear. The M100s are over ear, but still kinda small. On me, my ear is literally the size of the interior of the XL pad.

Plus, for my money the Momentums sounded boring. And they didn't fit. And they're fashionable.

Who needs any of that?

I SWEAR I THOUGHT THE SAME WAY. So I got bought the white v-moda m-100s. I love em.

I have been testing the Momentums vs the Sony MDR-X10 and finally looks like tomorrow I get the M-100 for the actual real deathmatch! LOL

I really want the M-100s to win  so I might be biased already but I am not disliking the Momentums so far..even though they sound a bit too thin with some of my music and for watching tv shows, well they are pretty sad :D

If you think the Momentums sound thin, then I'm thinking the M100s will be just what you wanted!

Indeed. Not with all music but since I listen to so many types of music, some of it, lacking in bass..the Momentums are not able to make them come alive even with heavy EQ so that is why I feel the M-100 will give me the extra step I need without falling into MDR-X10 territory lol
