I was watching a unboxing video of them yesterday and it was in an apple bag.

It was from a guy in NYC

Apple hasn't listed it yet, but I will go to my store today and see.

when i actually used an iphone ( the last one was the iphone 4) they had plenty of items they sold in store and didn't even put it up on The website so i would just go to the store for anything. I also prefer seeing something in my hands before i pay $300+  like for headphones ( I bought the V-moda m-100 based on the reputation )

Once you do get them, very interested to hear your thoughts. Personally can't wait to give them a go myself :-)

Dt1350 are no slouch when it comes tk bass either especially now that I'm driving them with Fiio X3 and a tiny but of the hardware bass eq. Going deep is important too (that's what she said)

i only had a short time with them and from memory they were comfortable (for on ears anyway) they sounded marvelous! i totally agree with you on the looks department they could do so much better

not a fan of the split headband on them ( i prefer the hd25 ones) some of it grabbed my hair ( i had medium length, typical asian hair) so that was unpleasant

plus the fixed cable (even though it was single sided) i need detachable or i'll cry when my investment breaks

but it sounds like the  xs is val's latest creation of revamping the m-80s! all signs point to that!!! i'll be eagerly anticipating any news on that!!!

Off topic about the B&W P7: walked into the store late and got their very last P7 sitting on the table.  I am currently testing it out with my VAMP and AK120 + VC SDT, so the impression on the sound can be a little off.  Bass wise it is good and comparable to the M-100 and toned down from the P5.  Recessed mids which is similar to the M-100.  However, the treble rolls off a bit too soon compare to both the M-100 and P5, yet this could due to the lack of burn-in, which I will be doing tonight.  Comfort wise it is a huge improvement to the P5, and feels like the M-100 with XL pads.  However, once again B&W gives you a soft case that looks nice yet worthless.  The cord feels very good and it is almost exactly like the NuForce Transient cable.  But for $400, your best bet is still get the M-100 + XL pads + cable.

What cable do you mean Dr. Sheep? And I am trying to convince myself to get the XL pads, but what advantage do I get out of the SQ department?

XL pads tone down the bass and makes the M-100 more neutral.  So if you find the M-100 being a bit bass heavy, the XL pads will help in this regard.  The NuForce Transient cable is one of the cable that recommend to replace the stock M-100 cord, and it's texture is very close to the one with the P7.

I find the bass alright... What advantage do I get from the cable? Sorry for the knob questions... I just don't know...

So far, so good as there are too many other things to spend $ on in the next few months and this should be one less headphone I want to buy.

The bass actually becomes more bloated and the treble less sparkly for me with the XL pads. But as mentioned before, it could be because the XL pads have a much better seal around my head, especially near the bottom of the earcup where my jawline is.

Wait, what are you "Aw Yeah!" -ing about? Seems like a negative you're cheering for, there.
