Where do you get them for $250?

Thought I'd share with you guys this song that I found to play really well on the M-100's. This song, although it is not suited for everyone's music genre preferences, to me, sounded very fine and clean through the M-100's. I'm not quite sure what it is, but it sounds very nice on the M-100's. It might be the depth of the bass and tightness of it, but I can't quite put my finger on it:)

Already on that, i'm getting a pair of LCD-3's with the schiit mjolnir and the gungnir next year, i just have some mad money right now.

Not bad. I'm not listening to it through the M-100 right now since I'm too lazy to walk across the room and get them, but I can imagine how it sounds.

I should also mention, it only works as a whole, when a C5 is thrown into the mix:)

If you want more bass than the momentums, by all means, get the m100

I have seen price discussed extensively on Head-Fi.  Not sure why you have the impression that they don't like it.

Given those requirements, I would say that you'd be happy with the M-100.  I have both as well, and they each have their benefits.  They both sound great.  The M-100 is significantly better from a portability standpoint.

It's not the price that head fi doesn't like, it's more like a way of buying that head fi doesn't like. A certain method.

Group buys? Like MassDrop?

There is even a deals thread here in Head-fi, where did you get them for 250?

Yep you're right, deal thread doesn't allow discussion of it

If you really want to dig then PM him instead.  FYI you can also legally get the M-100 cheap if you have an Apple or Microsoft email for employee discount.

The Apple employee discount was discontinued a few months ago, and isn't an option for non-employees anyway. FYI, in most cases the discounts are a couple percent off MSRP, so typically online prices are about the same or better anyway wink.gif
