What is a MH1C??

I was going to post a "let me Google that for you" link here, but a direct answer would be more efficient. It's an in-ear earphone made by Sony.

400

I haven't heard those before but looking at the Innerfidelity charts, I think the M-100 would be more balanced-sounding compared to the MH1C's; the MH1C looks like it would be a bit darker in presentation compared to the M-100. If anything, the Shure SE215 has a similar sound signature to the M-100 but with much less sparkle and a smoother midrange.

Has anyone else experienced their mic just die out? I've had mine for 3 months and I literally cannot speak into it anymore. -_-

That happened to my M80. Did the button get all squishy and unresponsive?

The SpeakEasy in-line microphone, or the Boom Pro Mic cable?

The SpeakEasy one has a weird button system (I semi-dismantled it since it wasn't pressing sometimes) and the actual button is in the very center of the "button" part. I'm not sure about the microphone, but sometimes people have said they can't hear me clearly when using it.

It's fine if you don't need the custom shields.  You can still return within 30 days for a full refund and V-MODA will honor the warranty, so there should be no problem for you.

That's true, and I ended up ordering multiple sets of custom engraved shields anyway, so it doesn't really matter where you order your M-100 from.  Just remember that the engraved price is double that of the regular color shield price (except gold).

Before I go and mess things up, how do you remove the ear pads on one of these?

Just get your finger inside the rim and pull firmly. It's popping them back in that's tricky.

<_< damn fiio l9 cable is already cutting out when moved.  barely had it over a week.

any suggestion for a more rugged cable that can take being bent a few times?  willing to pay more but not excessively more.

yep! to get them back on takes quite a bit of force as taking them off i use my thumb nail to push the ring back under the tabs when they go back on! dont worry they wont break! I've taken the same pads of and countless times
