Well I think the Matte has enough "sparkle" for what it is. And the fact that you can match it with virtually any shield color or cable its a big plus.
I come from owning the white pearl M-80 and I really don't miss anything about it in regards to style and looks. Imho they made an awesome job on the Matte. And it still turn heads at the gym or when I'm out and about (not that I like that really)
But like its been said before, is all about preference. Doowutchyalike!
If you have a single 3.5 mm port that accepts both audio and voice outputs (TTRS 4-ring connection) then you can just plug the Boom Pro Mic into it. If not, you'll need to use the included 3.5 mm to audio and voice (VoIP) adaptor to plug in the voice and audio channels into 2 separate ports.
Boy I'm kind of glad I didn't end up getting the matte black M-100. It looks pretty cheesy in-person to me, almost like a D.I.Y. matte finished paint job to be completely honest...
Regarding earpads, the black ones feel much stiffer to me than the grey pads.
In my opinion the matte black doesn't really look cheesy but more of a stealth industrial look. I prefer the matte black over the white, but I may reconsider. The matte black when shown to all my friends and family said they preferred the matte black. Also even the beats fanboys said the black looks sick and the white ones not so slick. The white some what turns me off.
