Hey guys anybody has used the Golden Ears Accudio iOS app? I was thinking about trying it but it doesn't have any profiles for V-MODA headphones. What would be a similar profile, DT770?

I have it, I don't like it, and yes I paid for the full version...

I'm not sure which of their headphones would have a similar profile, but I can check the list when I get back home.

Hmm...kind of disappointed about that. Any other good EQ apps or Music Players w/EQ (paid or free) you can recommend for the Touch 5G? Thanks.

I'm not a big fan of using EQ's but I hear EQu is pretty decent. That being said, I'm sure other people know more about the equalizer apps available on the App Store. >_<

I hear ya. I just want to have something available when I feel like experimenting with the signature.

Pretty sure if you checked that thread on the MDR 1R,
the sound should not even be nowhere similar.
What kind of music U prefer should be a factor.
Personally I would not say these m100 mids are laid back at all.
The tiesto k167 &k67 cans are thou
And the the m80 mids are more forward than m100 but presentation is different as m100 sound larger.

I have really been wanting to get the m100 for a while now but as a high school student with no job the price is pretty high. Now I have found the UE6000 for $200 and I just have to ask are the m100 really worth the extra hundred dollars?

Judging from all the videos and articles I've seen on both, I think it is.

BUT, I wish back when I was a high school student to had the chance to get something like a UE6000 as my first "pro" set of headphones. More like a Koss Porta Pro! (lol)

The UE6000 seems to be great headphone. You can even go to Best Buy and try them out before buying them. That's a big plus.

Update on XL cushions: first prototypes ready March 14th.  I'll also post the diameter/depth specs of this round and you can tell me another dimension to try.

Microsoft Store Launch: M-100 will be in all Microsoft stores in about 2 weeks and on demo

Worldwide Harrods, Macys, Denim and Supply and Ralph Lauren listening stations: already rolled out the Denim M-100s into ~150 stores worldwide, I'll have a list soon to demo M-100s...

Production News: we are out of stock of White and Shadow as most people know and down to a few Matte blacks, but the next shipment is ready ~March 20th and we are building more

Europe: M-100 is making its way to retailers and Amazon, albeit slower than we liked due to the high demand in America and Asia

Interesting Fact on Sales:  Matte Black outsold Shadow 3:1 in the VTF-100 models.  Matte Black outsold Shadow and White silver about 1.5:1 through 2012.  In January, Shadow outsold Matte Black I believe 1.3:1 or more!  How did this happen?

Matching Amp: VAMP VERZA is almost ready, remember originally M-100 was tuned to match it perfectly although we later retuned M-100 to be optimized for unamped as well as amped situations.

More news to come soon!

Actually I bought a really good one called Equalizer. Its from Audioforge Labs. Its an all-in-one app and It was suggested by fellow head-fier samandhi and its works wonders. Best $2.99 I've spent in a while. Plenty of features and the custom eq is very good.

Val...I would love to test one of those prototypes!!! wink_face.gif

We sold out completely of White and Shadow, but it is because we have made so few M-100 units compared to normal in order to have the highest QC and monitor the community feedback.  I am surprised that even though Matte Black outsold shadow almost 3 to 1 initially that Shadow is almost 1:1 lately.  Any ideas why?!  It helps my forecasting.

That plus a lot of the people here are in the older-ish demographics (random guess, but perhaps 20+ years old). Older audiences tend to prefer a sleeker, not as eye-popping colour scheme as was discussed previously here (white silver or shadow black stood out too much for people). It sounds like a lot of people who are ordering the M-100's now are a younger demographic and would like something that stands out in the crowd. Having an all-black headphone isn't exactly the most eye-catching for younger audiences so that might be a reason why white silver and shadow black are selling more.

I mean, if you're walking on the streets, or on school campus, the chances of someone asking "what headphones are those?" are less likely with an all-black, "no branding" headphone than one with some flashy accents and the branding clearly labeled. At least that's the reason why I chose white silver over matte black.

The initial flux of matte-black orders may have been influenced by the popularity of that colour from here, Head-Fi. As more "common folk" people started to hear about the M-100's, I'm guessing matte-black was less of an appealing colour to them since it's not as flashy of a colour.

Asia? Maybe many gamers buying them?

That is super exciting!!! If you can post the specs of the depth of the earcups with the XL cushions on them, that would be great too!!

I am really glad that you are taking into account all the customer feedback. That is really amazing that V-Moda is willing to go that extra mile for the customers.
