I got so exited when I saw my shipped status on the order page I had to tell my friends and I am totally in love with v-moda and the headphones I still don't have... Still, I believe my input will not be worth much in audiophile leagues but to my seinheisser or beats or even iLuvs (WTF) owner friends it's a start to introduce them to awesome headphones with quality and style.
I am thinking of dual cable usage with my phone and iTouch.. it'll be very interesting the first couple of days... but not stopping the music and talking on the phone with one pair is a hidden feature that is very much appreciated by me as a Long-board(Fanny-pack)/Gamer/College guy. It may seem a bit unnecessary or even awkward to use it as such.. But why not? I mean, if it can be done and it's useful for me it makes me happy to go around with two cables going out of my headphones awkwardly.
Hey, just got updated with the forums and thought I'd reply to your post even though it's a few days old :). As I'm considering something equally geeky.
I want to set up my PS3 with the boom pro mic or one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Detachable-Microphone-Noise-Cancelling/dp/B003IRCRVM/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&qid=1354905269&sr=8-21&keywords=detachable+microphone+cable
then I want to connect it to a splitter (example): http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Speaker-and-Headphone-Splitter/dp/B000067RC4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354905410&sr=8-1&keywords=audio+splitter
and then I want to connect that into one of these to make it ps3 compatible (example): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MSS6CS/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_10?ie=UTF8&smid=AZ7YIJX32M70J
From there... I want to be able to hear the TV through my V-modas. My TV has a headphone option on the back, and that's the one I want to use since the audio will probably be better if connected directly to the source. So, I could take this one of two ways...
1) Option 1: Put my shareplay cable in the other headphone output and connect it directly to the TV. (Which I don't know how comfortable it would be to have 2 cables dropping down near my face and body.)
2) Option 2: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-13787-Female-Extension/dp/B00007FGU7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354905151&sr=8-1&keywords=male+to+female+audio+cable (Example, not the actual one I would buy).
I can put the female audio input from the splitter into the male connecter of this cable, and from there I can just plug the female extender directly into my TV without having another cable against my face and body bothering me.
There are other options to doing this, but they are more costly and the M-100's simplify that. I'm sure you could get some weird cables that allow you to use both your phone, and your Ipod, too. That is, if having 2 cables dangling down starts to bother you -- of course, that would be more costly than just using what you already have. lol :D
P.S. My M-100's were set to ship yesterday =) Ordered: 10/21. :D
Same here and I'm also kicking myself for selecting standard USPS free shipping. It's gonna take FOREVER for my M-100's to be delivered to me lol.
It may not, my free USPS shipping ended up coming priority mail.
I'm really digging this track from Daft Punk's Discovery album in the non-Silent Library.
Dat bass line is so addicting.
Taylor Swift likewise sounds really good right now.
^ good-sounding song, but I don't think the Shure microphone she uses does her voice justice as her voice can get pretty piercing at times
The mystery. A surrepticious anomaly, it's path unknown. Delicately avoiding the outstretched branches as it falls. I will never know.
Just received mine through UPS an hour ago! Even though I need to break these in, I love em so far!!
Also for those anxious ones about your shipped order, call them and ask for the tracking number and they'll give it to you :).
How can you tell it's a Shure microphone? o.o
Haha. If it is indeed a Shure microphone in the live footage, she does not have to use one in the studio. And if she happens to use that same one in the studio, the guy mixing it would have control over it. I'm no expert on microphones and recording, but I am pretty sure the guy mixing it has a lot of control over the sound.
Looks like mine went USPS and should be delivered today. Shocking I had to call them to get a number. So weird.
I was going to complain about all the shipping posts, but it is the holiday season.
Scratch that, it's an Avantone CV12 microphone. I was thinking of Kelly Clarkson's Stronger music video with the Shure mic.
Nonetheless her voice tends to be a bit sharp at times.
So instead you do it passive aggressively. Good plan!
But noted, I thought about that after my latest off topic rant. :)
Speaking from experience, once you receive and hear them, all the complaining goes away ;)
