Hi...
I am new on this audiophile stuff and am looking to start building a good setup.
I currently have a dell laptop with a Reatek ACL268 sound card with no digital output, but i plan to replace it with a Macbook Pro sometime in the near future. I also have a custom built desktop.
I am looking for a setup that i can use for both having audio (mainly for listening to music from high quality files and movies) on my devices and to record from my bass and a guitar in the future.
What would be the recomended setup to allow me to use on both computer?
I saw that there is some usb devices specific for recording like M-Audio FastTrack or Steinberg CI2+, but as far as i have seen they dont provide digital output so i can hookup to a DAC (or could i just skip a DAC in this setup), or even if i can use then as my computers "sound card".
Sorry my poor english, it is not my first language. And sorry the dumb question, i am really just getting into the audiophile world.
