Did I make a mistake buying the D2K?

I wanted a top notch closed headphone with good bass, and ideal for FPS gaming (positioning), regular gaming, movies, and music (trance/rap/inception type music).  Bought them for $230 open box, like new.

Someone said these weren't good for FPS games? They don't have good sound stage for positioning?

They'll have all you need.  You don't need massive soundstaging for games.

They're known for having one of the largest soundstages for a closed can though.

Why don't you try listening to them for yourself.

He probably doesn't have anything to compare them to, and occasionally you find conflicting opinions even on generally accepted information.
