EQ Settings for Denon D1100?

Thread Starter

Hi guys, I recently acquired a pair of Denon D1100's, and although they sound great, I find the bass slightly overpowering at times.  I saw on a few posts here before where some people have mentioned that with some EQ-ing, the D1100 can sound almost as good as the D2000.  I was wondering if there's any of head-fi pros out there have played around with the EQ settings with the D1100 and can give me some suggestions on how I can replicate the D2000 sound signature.  Thanks guys!  I'm using a 10 band EQ.

Maybe you find this useful:

When I had D1100 I applied a boost to midrange 500 - 2000Hz range and slight boost to 31 - 62Hz and lowered 125Hz-250Hz tiny bit but I'm a bit of a basshead tho so you'd probably want to decrease the whole 31 - 250Hz range quite a bit but I have a hard time imaging you'd need to lower it by 10dB, that can't be sounding right as it wasn't THAT bassy in my ears at least but whatever, at least try give a 4 - 5dB reduction in the lows for starters, there's several people who reported much better results in the mids especially by lowering the bass response.
