Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 (UE TF10?)

I recently bought the UE TF10 a month ago to upgrade my Monster Tours or however it's supposed to be titled. Also, it had to replace my ATH M50 that I bought last year because they were too tight on my head.

I bought the TF10 from Amazon.co.uk for £109.99 (approx. $172) since it was 59% off. Originally £269.

I just wanted to know if this was a right choice to make since I listen to varoius rock genres? Also, is there any other brands around that price range (around £100) that would have been better? I looked at Westone but they are too expensive.

For the past month, I find these worth buying. Although, sometimes it doesn't provide the best noise cancellation at approx. 30% volume on my HTC Sensation and iPod Nano (which I read in some reviews here that it isn't the best isolator).

Just wondering if there is any ear buds that can provide better isolation but retain the same sound quality? I read about the Sony hybrids which is a possiblity. Don't know if the Tx-500 Comply Foam tips will have any effect (or affect?)

Thank you.

The TF10 are one of the best you can buy in the price range. Only you can say if they are the right ones for you, not us. I guess if you feel the need to try something else, the Vsonic GR-07 are popular. I havent heard them my self.

Are you looking for new tips to go on your tf10s to improve isolation or new IEMs altogether ?

Tips to improve isolation no idea. But if you are after another IEMs with very good isolation great sound @ £80 delivered try Yamaha eph-100.

in my opinion, the comply 500s doesn't alter the sound as much as the 400s

Just wanted to find a better isolation. Also, I was just curious of what cheaper alternative (or same priced)

I was thinking of buying the Tx-500 since the ones that was included with mine were medium only which I think may be too small for my ears. However, i'm not 100% sure what Comply Foam models they are.

EDIT:

One time, when I was using the silicone ear tips, when I tried to get them to fit by pushing it in and out, they caused a suction effect. Once I got I got a good fit, I realised the sound went quiet (to almost no sound). After 12 hours they worked fine but I never touched the silicone tips ever again. Just wondering if it's because of this reason in this link http://www.thinksound.com/faq.php number 4.
