I'm just warning you although the lower capacity cards may have been working for you. When it comes to the 64GB cards many have been failing from the other brands. Only Sandisk has been able to make a very reliable 64GB Micro SD card.

I haven't used Sandisk since my old 1GB cards. My current stable consists of Adata, Transcend, eFilm, Kingston and Topram for SD cards. All have been perfect. When I did pro photog work, I used Topram nearly exclusively (CF) and the only flash card I have ever had trouble with was a single Delkin Devices CF card.  Just my $.02. There are lots of card brands I would use. And many are made in the same places any way.

I have been considering a 128GB Lexar for my HiFiMan. http://www.geek.com/articles/chips/how-lexars-flash-products-are-made-20110124/

EDIT: Also, just FYI, you are right about them being integral in the development of the SD standard, along with Toshiba and Matsu****a (Panasonic). It was the non-DRM competitor to Sony's Memory Stick.

EDIT2: Seriously Head-Fi, you are ostensibly a tech blog and you censor the word Matsus h i ta? lol

64GB Micro SDXC is still pretty new. I will believe that should Toshiba, Lexar, Kingston and etc release their own 64GB Micro SDXC, they should perform equally well.

Not so sure about other unknown brands.

PS: This man will be pretty upset with head-fi though. Lol.

I have 5 32gb cards now. 64gb would be nice. I label each one with the type of music. Who has a good way to index cards? I use the adapter to label, not the micro card.

Any idea idea if something like the Seagate GoFlex Satellite would work with the DX100?

There's an android app that allows access to the drive contents; how well it integrates with the DX100 is unknown, unless someone has one and can test it out.

In short, 500GB portable music server with 5+h battery life, DX100 connects via WiFi and streams HiRez music = replaces ~15 32GB microSD cards?

Might need a portable fusion generator as well too heh.

As soon as i get my dx100 i will test it with my 64gb micro which worked pefectly in my sony ray, galaxy note, hifiman 601,T51,cowon j3 and sanza plus.
If it worked with all of my daps, I find myself surprised at any who ask if it will work with dx100!
Just get sandisk, I retuned the card from other manufacturer.
Welcome:p

It has been mentioned somewhere in a reply from iBasso that the DX100 should be able to read and copy files from a usb drive but not play directly from it.

Back in my day, we only had 1 gig of space on our mp3 players!  And we learned to like it!

This is exactly why I was looking for an alternative to my Hi-MD Walkmans: you can imagine the quantity of 1GB Hi-MD MiniDiscs I need to lug around when using lossless audio, haha! Why I didn't upgrade to a flash player sooner? Well, nothing had caught my attention so far in being a substantial upgrade on all fronts like the DX100 should be. I did give the iPod 5.5G a try, which was unacceptable as is; was in the process of DIYModding it, then was going to try a Classic + HP-P1, when iBasso's December announcement changed the game.

My first Mp3 player set me back $450 because I wanted the most possible storage - 128mb. Now I'm sporting a 8gb Clip+ w. 32gb card (a total of $115), much smaller, much better battery, better display(!), much better sound.

Indeed, we have come a long way.

13 years ago in 1999, Creative launched this player and it was one of the greatest invention back then.

It had 32MB onboard storage.
