Ordered 12.14, shipped 12.18. Don't always believe what's written ! Wasn't too big a risk to take for 5$ + 5$ shipping...

Well with the DX100 in hand,

i am starting to piece together how everything works!

Particlemedia is the player name.. now I mentioned before that there are about 160 modules to this application

ListforT59 is the list for the albums (was wondering what it did)...

The ESS is controlled by Hi_Fi, it is not a media player driver but a Linux KERNEL driver that gets called directly by the whiskey.player

the magic happens in

libHiFiDeviceHiFi.so

libHiFiDeviceService.so

those are the magic buggers for the ESS ;)

Great News figgie, that you have received your DX100.

Very nice gesture from iBasso indeed. We all appreciate what you are doing/resolving on the DX100 for the community!

A round of applauds and a beerchug.gif!!!

Greeting to iBasso,

The Artist sort is sorting by %artist% instead of %albumArtist%

The difference

%artist% is usually tagged with the artist that is performing the song.

so under Artist sorting i have

Santana feat Alejandro Lerner

Santana feat Placido Domingo

Santana feat Citizen Cope

which happen to all be under the Shaman album by Santana.

When it should just be one Artist, Santana.

This is usually fixed by using %albumartist% as the artist sort that way it shows just the album artist and not every single contributing artist...

I've actually changed some of my tagging because of this.  Fix would be great.

Not true. There are viruses affecting OSX as well. Not to forget that running Windows on a Mac doesn't make it any less Windows.

That, and I would rather flush my money down the drain than give as much as a  bent nickle to Apple. Many like their products, fine, good for you, they make nice looking hardware. Their immense arrogance, insanely controlled walled garden and absolute patent war douchebaggery ensures that they will never get anything else from me than my two middle fingers.

Please ensure they include a check to see if album artist is even present in the tags as not all formats support it. If Album Artist is not set for a given track, then sort by Artist.

lmao! ;). I 100% agree. Their arrogance will one day destroy them. Mark my words. I know it' s a bit evil to root for it but I feel they deserve it in the end with their deceptive and controlling ways.

Awesome! Thanks figgie! I'm glad you've got a unit because now we've got someone who actually understands the bugs they report and can suggest fixes or provide explanations. That should help iBasso out while they're still in their software development infancy.

I don't agree. Whilst I'd love for it to happen, they've amassed too much money and fans to fail anytime soon. Steve Jobs was a character. Now that Apple's transforming into a traditional company they can throw money at public relation advisors to minimize their 'arrogant' image. Hell, they can throw money at whatever the hell they want. They've got so much of it just sitting out of circulation, doing nothing, contributing nothing to no one.

All it takes temporaryname is for the market to shift and people to catch on. Nothing lasts forever ;). Money can also dry up like a dieing well. I also have my doubts of them going down hill anytime soon but that is never completely out of the question.

Here's what might start the downfall: http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-google-design-web-services-2012-11

And this suggests it might be sooner than we think: http://venturebeat.com/2012/12/14/trouble-in-toyland-apple-stock-down-19b-iphone-orders-cut-price-targets-reduced/

And as a Nexus 4 owner I might add that the Android camp now has a phone that matches the luxury feel of the iPhone 5. At half the price.

I hope so but we'll see. One good thing is that as the average IQ raises more people are turning to logic and reason (and also, maybe not so coincidentally, atheism). Hopefully that means we'll have more intelligent consumers but they'll always be reasons for people to choose Apple, whether it's aesthetics, ease of use or support.

They'll still make a lot of money. I remember reading that they've amassed billions of dollars somewhere, just sitting out of circulation. They're still huge, and they'll still make a lot of money, even though it's not as much as before. I'm glad Samsung has challenged them. A lack of competition should be criminal.

I love Android's openness. Same with Windows. I can actually get things done instead of being babied. Feels condescending to constantly be restricted on your on personal computer.

Hopefully, the DX100 will update Android. But regardless, I'm glad they went that way.

The human race is actually getting dumber. I heard it on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me ... so it has to be true.

Lol. Thousands of years of getting smarter, all the scientific, medicinal and technological discoveries in the past 200 years, and now our love of convenience is making us dumber? Sounds interesting but on a broad scale I doubt it. Maybe it's just a discrepancy amongst their sample group? I'd agree if they meant in a very specific Howard Gardner-esque way, that sounds more likely but I'd still need to peruse over the details before losing my skepticism on the subject.

Seriously, watch this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/?ref_=sr_3

I believe Idiocracy is the only comedy to become a documentary after its launch.
