Once you clear the media storage process and music app process you need to reboot the device and let it sit for a while to let it reindex the music. Did you let it sit for at least 15 minutes? If you try to start eh music player it will crash if it hasn't had the time to finish reloading. This is a one time process. But still on every restart you need to give the player a little time to load. You will know when it is finished by looking for the media storage process in the running processes menu. Once it disappears you are clear. Also if you haven't done so already do a factory restore. This should help & it shouldn't delete your music just put the DX100 back to factory setting for 1.2.7. If all else fails try what Sorensiim said. :)

Thanks for the fast assistance lee730 and Sorenslim. It seems that the unit is frozen on this screen and I couldn't access any other pages or settings, I force closed the screen and it pop back up within 1-5 sec. I did let it sit for quite a while but nothing seem to be happening. I'll try the tool Sorenslim suggested and hopefully bring it back to live.

i think the transparency on the dx100's line out is enough already for me.. i cannot imagine even more than that.. I added at the 125  to gain some warmth..

Haha Fang is really cute.but he got a point. business wise, ibasso is a fairly small company though..

Just do a soft reset on Android will solve (not the reset button at the side, this one is just a cut-off power button). No need to re-flash the whole system using the Rockchip tool :D

And by the way for the album art, do not include picture larger than ~2MB or sometimes the launcher will force close too.

My hearing is not 20 to 20,000 kbps.  My hearing, I believe,  is normal for an individual in my age bracket, low 60's.  Prior to getting my IEM’s I had the audiologist test my hearing and he rated my hearing as 96% of normal range.  So, I feel it is good just not great.  That being said, I could distinguish sound discrepancies or similarities at every audio booth I visited, especially when I spent over 10 minutes analyzing with my own CD of test songs, my Audeze 2.2 and Future Sonics mg6pro’s.

 

Comparing the  HiFi Man’s HM-901 to my Droid-x phone ( something that’s primarily a phone with a music player on the side, as you correctly said ) was most revealing.  If the HM-901 was not easily distinguishable as superior to the Droid-X with my ambient noise reducing in ear monitors, then the product is defiantly not something that I would be interested in purchasing.  How long they took to develop the player is irrelevant.  In my opinion, it is not ready for prime time, especially not ready for the caliber of audiophiles represented in this forum.

I've notice some random "pops" when I listen to DX100.

I always love how the DX100 sounds, no doubt it is the best DAP I owned until now.. but it will still be great if DX100 can give me a constant good performance.I believe the random "pops" are caused by background apps interrupting the music player. do anyone have a clue about this? and how to fix it?

You may have wifi running. Make sure to disable all unnecessary background processes. You should only have the music player and android keyboard running. Force close anything else.

Thanks for the info. Actually I don't mind if iBasso delete all unnecessary application as I really dont use them on my dx100... if that improve quality of the dx100 :(

Same here on both counts.

Under Settings / Apps, can't you disable system apps even if you can't uninstall them? I removed my phone's built-in camera app, stock android keyboard and such that way... even icons are removed.

But then I'm on ICS... is the DX100 on GB? If so then maybe you can't...
