I just couldn't resist, it's gotta be mad dogs versus Peking Duck next to Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I would like to audit HM801 if I had a chance..

but honestly, I used to have HM602 and the UI were already freak me out..

I'm done with the Hifiman UI =/

After a week or two I owned the HM, I started to leave it behind. this never happened to dx100. I cant stop listening to it cuz it is so good that I could not resist it. in terms of UI/sound quality.

Not Sure if this was mentioned before but when I looked at Japanese version on http://www.hibino-intersound.co.jp/

I found this interesting section

Run that Through Google Translate and ya get

Adoption of an operational amplifier "OPA627" high-precision and high-speed, manufactured by Texas Instruments

Equipped with high-precision and high-speed operational amplifier OPA627 to adopt an independent monophonic construction R and L, Inc. Texas Instruments is also recommended for medical instruments, and high-speed buffer BUF634. I realized with high-quality sound that faithfully reproduce the HD digital music source, exploit the power headphones, earphones, high drive capability.

So, I guess they couldn't scratch off the logo on the OPA like they did with the dx100 someone mentioned a while back in the thread(Maybe Japan doesn't allow such practices?).  I'm guessing the dx100 had a similar OPA.

No. Japan could scratch off the OpAmp if they wanted to. Just open up the HP-P1. In Hibino's case for not doing so is that they're seeing some value in advertising popular OpAmps. This seemed to have started in Japan from VentureCraft with their Go-DAPs when they started to show what OpAmps they have in their products then even offer OpAmp upgrades.

Just received my DX100 today.

Overall very good machine (despite short battery life).

Great synergy with my togo 334.

Only down side is vocal is a bit thin on these, with my JH13 and Westone 4.

It's probably showing you the true nature of your JH13 and W4.

Has anyone had the chance to compare the DX100 vs. an iPod touch 4th gen with an ALO Continental?  Thanks smily_headphones1.gif

Give it time to break in. Does great with my JH13's, some of the best sound I have heard from them.

for me the tg334s really shines on my r10-dx100's line out only.. very very transparent.. i just EQed especially the 8k region to give it some spark.. some tweaks on the 31 and 125 region to give

it a little bit or warmth without compromising the transparency..

when I use the dx100's phone out at low gain, you will notice how warm the tg334s will be.. the difference between phone out and line out is dramatic for me..  ymmv ..

I tried it through the line out. Sounds pretty nice but I prefer the sound through the HO still. Through my T1 amp with the LO it sounds even more transparent. If I want to go overboard with transparency I'll use my UHA6 MKII with Op Amp 209 (that is super transparent).

Hi Friends.

czqdtc did you instal the 1.2.7 firmware?

Friends, I"ve been using my DX100 with Yuin PK1 and I really like the sound so much but I've been thinking about to buy other headphones.

Do you think HE 400 is a good choice for the DX100?

I've read that HE500 is better but maybe I'll need an amplifier, I have the Fiio E17 but I think this is not in the level that the DX100 deserve. What do you think?

Is the DX100 powerfull enough to make the HE 500 sound good?

Thanks.
