because they probably fixed one issue and introduced 4 bugs. It really depends on the code development cycle and how they keep track of changes. Dealing with Shoshico, AUO, Shensing, Funai, and Other Chinese development houses for televisions, Most never kept a code development repository so no versioning or anything. So they fixed one thing and broke 4. Literally every single release we had to do a full on run through even of items that worked before as the "trend' was to always find something broke that was working the prior firmware release.

well I am glad that iBasso got the tool out to wipe the iBasso clean.
(of course me be the curious person, I would like to know what was changed for those issues to be exhibited. Especially on the firmware side).
Keep an eye out and see if it returns after X amount of songs or folders. Enjoy the sound! :D

Gents, am I the only one that doesnt seem to have any problems with the running order of music? All my music is playing in the correct order even though the player has renumbered them by adding an extra zero at the beginning of each track.post #6831 of 116587/10/12 at 7:17amYes , i am putting my music back in stages to keep checking on it!
post #6832 of 116587/10/12 at 7:20amQuote:Also see if your unit is changing ## to ###.
I doubt it after the reflash which means that is what anyone having the issue might have to do.
my guess. They were test mules and we never factory wiped.
post #6833 of 116587/10/12 at 7:28amSo when the next software update comes out, it's not going to wipe my unit this time ?
Whats the procedure for just updating the software ?
post #6834 of 116587/10/12 at 7:40amQuote:The next firmware is actually an OS update. It technically should not wipe anything just upgrade OS code.
That is a SHOULD. lol
***Disclaimer: I do not work for iBasso or FuZhou. So I do not know there operations. I have 16 years in IT as a consultant so can usually take best guesses.***

I don't think this review was posted yet, not that I can understand a word:
Anyway, on the real, DX100 owners. On a pure usability level, where are we at now? (presume your tracks are shown correctly and play in order if you had this problem which the awesome figgie has fixed), can you zip around easily between albums, artists etc? Are you happy?
Last night I was about to get an N8 + UHA-6S MKII but... I just don't want a stack, cables poking out and around - I just want something I can throw in my pocket on the train/tube.
post #6837 of 116587/10/12 at 8:01amWho knows.
Very doubtful as ICS they would have to re-write alot of the music player to get it working right. So I say very low probability.

Thanks but iBasso is the one fixing. I was looking for the cause but sometimes when the tools are offered. Why waste more time. Get it fixed. Enjoy proper working equipment and that is it. :)

So far so good on my track listing display...all my 80's music now transfered and Soul II Soul still correct and so is Alexander O'Neal, and Madonnas MDNA album are showing as they should!

I'm still waiting for my music to back up, but will be implementing the fix in a few minutes - apparently my laptop harddrive is not that fast

Edit, just loaded one album back on and..........
Exactly the same problem as before - still reversed.
Edit 2 - just found an awesome tool that will solve my symptoms, not the underlying problem. Freeware by the name of Lupas Rename - 7 years old but works perfectly on Windows 7 and allows you to replace spaces with underscores en-masse. Still waiting for my music to be copied back to the DX100, but tried it on a subset and it works flawlessly. At least that will get the music listing in the correct order until the underlying issue is fixed.
Edit 3 - with this new reset the use of underscore makes no difference - everything is again reversed.
Thank goodness the sound quality is awesome, because this is getting frustrating!
