Welcome onboard the DX100 club @rudi0504. Out of curiosity, your friend's DX100 was from which batch? Also will he/she be upgrading his firmware? I'm expecting both DX100s to sound the same with the same firmware. Any reason why he/she hasn't upgraded yet?

You may be onto something there...

I'll try that next time. Thanks for the tip!

I just purchased a dx100 from a fellow head-fi'er and hoping to get it sometime next week! darthsmile.gif

With the new update, is there any reason to root the device?

Hey guys!

I just got word that there is a new firmware planned to be released next week. It contains a fix for a problem I've been having since I first received my DX100. When playing MP3s specifically, once the song ends my player crashes and refuses to play anything nor allow me to access any of the menus related to the player until I restart the DX100. After sending them a couple of the MP3s I've been having this trouble with, they finally fixed it. So excited to have my DX100 working in proper order! :D

I force closed it and restarted the Music application time after time but it's still the same problem. I had to turn the DX100 off and on in order to get it working again.

Sounds like you are having the same problem as me. :p

DHL tracking is at stage 11 - does anyone know how long delivery normally is from that stage?

Only if you want to risk bricking your player or voiding the warranty.

Call DHL? I'm not that desperate

Read the thread - 443 pages? I'm not that desperate

;-)

I was just hoping on the off chance that someone checking this thread might have been able to let me know from their experience

Awesome news on the update! I wonder if they've fixed the chipmunks problem. Both times I've had that bug I noticed it was on a Joy Division flac.... strange.

He has the first badge , he is waiting until my DX 100 come, he want the sound different first before he will upgrade to the latest firmware 1.17.

After he heard the Sound Quality from the latest firmware is better , now he want also upgrade to the latest frimware 1.17 like mine

Thank you for your advise.

Why you pair your Dx 100 with Alo RX 3 B ?

Please advise

My DX 100 with UM Miracle , both arrived at the same time on Saturday 30.06.2012

So you hit that magical level of desperation that made you ask for advice but not desperate enough to use the search tool? wink.gif

Don't mean to troll you and trust me, I know how hard it is to keep F5'ing that tracking page without going completely insane. But if people read the thread in stead of asking the same questions over and over again, we be at page 100, tops. Nothing personal, it just bugs me. Maybe Jude needs to put flashing lights around the "Search this thread" link.

That must be a spectacular sounding rig! My UM Merlins are getting re-made (third time now) and my Heir 8.A are on their way. The DX100 is awesome with customs!
