Not all companies are quite like iBasso. They're actually the first company of the like I've come across :) Kudos iBasso.

Yeah it is in such situation whereby statisticians lose out to normal layman =)

iBasso is serious about becoming a prominent player in this business for the long run.

It must be obvious but iBasso takes producing great sound, very, very serious. And of customer service, they are no less serious. They seek the best for their customers and I think many are realizing this.

@Girls Generation,

Did you ordered and got your JH3A combo yet?

Would you compare that combo to DX100+JH16/JH13 rigs?

I cancelled long ago, it got way ridiculous. It's too bad I lost $150 from just pre-ordering and receiving nothing... Impressions, shipping, and then paypal fees.

I will do some impressions with Westone ES5 and LCD2 when I receive the DX100. Also, there's really no point to a DX100 if using a JH3A since you'd need to use the 3A's DAC, which means you'll have to use coax to bypass DX100's ESS9018 DAC, which is a waste, and the only thing you'll be using the DX100 for would be a DAP that can store hi-res flac/wav/aiff. Waste of $800 imo.

Just seeing that picture and hearing some earlier comments makes me cringe lol. If the DX100 really can compete with such huge rigs like in the above picture, I feel sorry for those who still have to lug around such cumbersome bulk :P

I can only imagine what airport security would say about such a brick... very_evil_smiley.gif

It is always about the music first...not the size of the brick..lets not forget.

Not 'always' since a portable setup still has the word 'portable' in it. And people have stated the DX100 is infact better sounding than the common CLAS rig; I'll see for myself when I get mine.

One should also consider the price to performance ratio, not everyone has unlimited resources, though I wish I had...

CLAS, DAC, Amp, and interconnects, adds up to at the very least $1000. CLAS + DB2 + SR71B with a CLAS LOD, Coax-coax, and Hirose-Kobiconn, assuming the cables are nice high-end stuff, adds up to around $1500. For a DAP that's in one box, with no interconnects, 2-3hr charge/8hr battery life, up to 24-192 hi-res, plays flac/wav/aiff, and has, let's say, on par sound with the previous stack, for a total of $829... I consider that a no-brainer. Let's not forget the need for a custom cable terminated in Kobiconn to use with the SR71B, while the DX100 features a mini and a 1/4 jack...

The JH-3A does have analogue line in so you don't need to use coax

Ha,I just mean how does the"JH3a combo with any DAP for storage" compared to the DX100+JH13/16 Pro rigs.

It's really ridiculous to have a long long long term after getting pre-order.

And that's obvious it ruin the fame of JH Audio in some extent.

ES5 is a really great phone, wait to see your impression haha.

BTW,I placed my order on2/12,and still not receive my release invoice.

You skim through pages and pages of predictions and impressions and not a single tangible review that tackles the component at issue in an objective analytical way. It's a waste of time. Isn't there a place of reviews on these forums?

best for their customers and the best customers...both of which are good for the future of a smaller enterprise without the apple pr and marketing budget...

You can try the page numbers that are indicated by "review impressions pgs" in the title of this thread.

When you've got a DX100 on order, wasting time is a pretty important function...
