iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2. - Page 105

I nearly ordered one, then saw a crappy video on You Tube of it

Email? Apps? Calendar? Contacts?

Do these people not realise we already have a mobile that does all of this?

Why on earth would people use this for email?

I am STILL waiting for someone who can make a great machine with the emphasis on the sound, not on GUI and Apps etc.

It seems that ths one does have emphasis on great sound, all the rest just happens to come along due to the choice of Android as OS and you don't have to use any of it.

I have a Touch as part of my SR71-B rig and it is only used as extra storage beyond my Classic and then for streaming Spotify Premium and the occaisional concert video or complete opera video.

Judging by reviews, the DX100 handily beats the HM-801 and the Colorfly C4 as well as some pretty nice desktop rigs. On top of that, it has a very nice GUI and can even be used for wireless streaming. Please explain how that is a bad thing?

Just because you don't like the DX100 does not mean that others won't like it. On the contrary "these people" have a hard time sourcing enough components to fill the orders that are flooding in.

Leave him to his own conclusion, as he already decided the fate of the Ibasso Dx100, just by watching a video, and what is strange enough is that he cares about its sound to which he did not listen!!!!! or did he?

No I want to talk him in to ordering one. If he gets so mad just because the DX100 has apps and wifi, I want to see what happens when he finds out about the 1month+ of waiting for Ibasso to actually build the units.

I almost ordered it too, but then I saw 802 is coming 1 week ago..DX100 is still a little bit Big for me. But the software. the internal memory and the support of ALAC absolutely make me interested.. Has anyone tested how long roughly can DX100 play non stop?

AIFF and Gapless in the new DX100? That's awesome!! Now this is the ultimate DAP!

Everything is relative - I'd say the DX100 is a darn compact solution for audiophile enjoyment on the go: http://www.headphiles.org/index.php/topic,3929.msg212772.html#msg212772

Now if only it had a larger battery and I would be wishing it was an unlocked GSM phone so I could just always have it on me ready to go.

This is a DAP nothing else and they never  tried to be other then that! and a great one. Ibasso are working hard (really hard) to bring us the best sound to a portable device, and the android was a plus , use it or leave it! and how we repaid them? Bad criticism and false conclusions.

Great work Ibasso, and thank you for your hard work!

No device is going to the right thing for everybody

I hope turokrocks was not talking about me. I never said it was a bad thing it is not a phone, just that if it had insane battery life. it would be able to handle an antenna and make it the ultimate device.

iBasso has gone above and beyond with the player, if they are recalling the first 40 devices and making tweaks, as well as the functionality upgrades they made based on requests. The DX100 looks like it's going to be the device to beat

I've listened to music for 1,5 hours then left it for 12 hours in sleep mode then listened to music for 4,5 hours non-stop till it was dead. I merely used the screen and WiFi and Bluetooth were off. The gain was on medium. I think in non-stop mode it would be like 7,5 - 8 hours.
