I keep hearing that something is coming down the pipe from Ibasso on Monday regarding upgrade.  It's is Tuesday in Shenzhen now.  So where is the news?

Hi, Peter,
We are going to recall the first batch of the DX100, and will cover the return shipping cost as well.
There are some minor changes on hardware. it make the sound better, better wifi signal. Also, the new firmware supports gapless and AIFF.
We will offically inform the first batch DX100 owner very soon. Please be patient.

Wow, Peter, that is a CLASS act from Ibasso.

 

Even better sound than all the glowing reviews?  How far can they go?  They earn my loyalty for life.  

 

Make sure copy copy the music down somewhere before you ship it back.

I think they are adding one more Sabre 32 Dac chip in it?

 

May be they are trying to up the ante on the upcoming HM802 by making it balance? 

 

Or an upgrade in opamps?

 

What do you think?

Aren't the changes " it make the sound better, better wifi signal' ?

Going balanced would involve a complete redesign as I understand it.



Also does this make the first 1-40 become the 351-390? wink.gif

This means us in the March 2nd batch of 350 are round 2 guinea pigs - not that I mind as it's probably more UAT than beta testing ;-).

I'm sorry, but I think I just came.....so glad I got a preorder. two of the things i really wanted got added. AIFF and gapless.......mmmhhhmmmmm.....I can't wait.

But yeah what if the Trollface is right and I get my DX100 back with a fresh 6 pin on the front.  Then I have to re-re-terminate all my stuff.
