It's been a fun ride and I still consider the DX100 my best Head-fi purchase, but it is time to move on - mine will be up for sale soon.

I thought Heir and Noble were your best headfi purchases?

Sorenslim, sad to see you go for sure.....you've been a great asset to the DX100 community especially in terms of outlining rooting and helping people with titanium backup/launchers (non android folks heh).  I'm keeping the DX100 for now as it's still a solid unit and I like the way the Saber DAC goes wiht my O2 at work....and having 128GB @ work is much more useful to me....battery life means nothing to me since I'm deskside when listening to the DX100.

I'd concur with the DX100 being one of the best purchases on head fi I've made.....although recently the best purchase award would have to go to my new desktop DAC (Metrum Hex).  =D

Regardless, I'm sure we'll still see you around on the DX100/DX50 threads.  Keep on rockin' and enjoy the music!

I'm honestly sad to be leaving. The battery life isn't what sways me (I'm deskbound as well), it's the UI of the DX50. I really like those buttons and using the line out to pair it with an amp it gives the DX100 a run for its money. Turns out I'm doing fine with 64gb too

Time to go balanced, I've always wanted to try that. Sadly I'll need to sell my DX100 to fund that adventure.

I like my ciems, but I consider the DX100 to be the smartest purchase I've made. Clean, crisp sound with sensitive IEMs, yet powerful enough to really make the HE-500 and HD650 sing. Supports just about any file format and has outputs for anything and everything. AND you can take it with you.

Ahh. I think I reserve my DACport LX as the smartest purchase I've made on headfi. At least I've had it the longest out of all my gear. Even bought a heatsink for it to make it last as long as possible :P.

after spending a little time with the amazing Resonessence Invicta at the recent London Head-Fi meet (this uses the ES9018 DAC) I'd sure like to get their input into the chip programming on the DX100, would be very interesting to see what they could squeeze out of this unit...wonder if they got the API?

Ibasso has their mouth shut on who got the API.

I guess the Secret DEV should have the GUI as priority. It could possibly trump the DX50's UI lol

Maybe iBasso should push the DEV as people are selling off their flagship DAP and opting for other models.

Still dreaming of Poweramp's interface plus the ES9018 sound = BIG Win

I almost sold mine, soooo glad I changed my kind before I got a serious offer. I love this brute. Power amp style GUI would be very nice

Have them add physical buttons like those on the DX50 and I'm keeping mine as well!

Nah....you got the itch now for an RSA amp. Classic gas. (Gear Aquisition Syndrome).

Only cure, satisfy the itch. Hope you don't regret losing the es9018 loveliness....

The ability to cancel media scan is implemented with the DX50. Also, media scanning is only started when you eject the SD or connect the device to a PC/Mac

Ibasso please add this to the DX100 soon!!

They fixed the file sorting on the DX50 as well, by far the most annoying bug IMHO.
