I work hard for my play money and for something that costs almost $1000 USD there absolutely should not be these types of problems. Yes, you're correct, it's OS (Android) based more than hardware based. If they can get a unit back from America, and have the damn thing shipped BACK here in less than 24 hours...come on. That's poor quality control. They can't have someone do phone support because of language barriers, so they stick to email. But to spend another $40 each time the thing goes back to China? Ridiculous.
As for the other guy...great, Welcome to the thread. Its a phenomenal, quirky, amazing and annoying player. It instills (at least in myself and guys I've been emailing back and forth with) a sense of wonder, aggravation, and sometimes frustration.
It's more than just a music player, thats the greatness of the DX100.
