I suppose so.. 1.1.7, 1.2.7 ,1.3.5 and 1.3.7 are all pretty much the same which are better than other firmwares which boost the bass and treble (so the mids will be mo recessed)

Wow. That seems messed up...why would we get a start/stop from just touching the DX100 (especially with the screen off)?
I thought I had an oddball problem with mine, but so far 4-5 people have responded that they have experienced this problem to one degree or another. I'm surprised this hasn't come up on this thread until now.
I can't reproduce the problem now, but the day it was happening, my DX100 was unusable as the playback was "hiccuping" so much. What's the answer? Is there a way to completely disable the accelerometer to see if that works?
Reading the recent threads made me remember some high school physics, which I forgot long time ago.
But from what other posters described, it seems some dx100 units got bad grounding circuit, maybe better send them back to ibasso for checking. I haven't got such issues, with/without the silicon case.
Are there any 128gb micro cards that are affordable yet? Seems to be taking some time. What is the upper limit supposed to be for the card, 2tb?

As the recent purchaser of a Colorfly C4, I wondered if anyone else had come to the conclusion that I did, that of the top DAP's, it may not be cutting edge in an DX or AK100 way, but it offers the most stable platform to enjoy the quality sound we all strive for, in a 1 box solution?
Just a thought and not meant to be smug.....

Whatever brings the joy of music to you is most important. I still enjoy the iRiver H140, though it is modified, and it is pretty old now, in terms of the progress of DAP players. The DX100 just offers more but it is all good.
WHy so angry , why so vitriol? Someone already shows how the Microsd-SD adapter in the dx100 wiki

I don't see any problem with Jamato actually asking for 128 gb microsd support, since apparently if you format it like a 32gb microsd , 64 gb which is allegedly not supported work
It is a big thread, so they figure they will receive more attention here. It is all about the need to have someone respond to them, to fill something they feel is empty inside of them, but what they do will not satisfy this.
Oh, thought they were here for us to test the blocking function in this forum...
I think it might be and this case, he/she, has visited many times.

I am using some Porta Pros modified right now, really good sound in combination with the DX100. I have been comparing the DX to the AK100 for a while now and the AK100 just sounds flat and angular compared to the DX100. It is a nice small package but the sound quality isn't up there. It isn't 3D like the DX100 can be.
It is the same drunk Scotsman. Please, as soon as you see any posts that might be his, DO NOT REPLY to them, just report the FIRST post he made in the thread. That would be most helpful.
