The same applies to Hisound DAPs. That is why I've always had an open mind about such things :).

I'm listening to FloRida at the moment, and this is the closest I've heard a dap and headphones go towards the full size subwoofer sound.

Well, I had my dramas with the Hisound, but I'm very happy with the DX

I've had dramas with both and still love both. :). Although my DX100 was connected to the T1 amp 99.9% of the time lol (it just sounded that damn good together). I might as well have glued them together :P.

Try giving 1.2.3 a spin with some bass heavy music...

Here's a hint of what to expect:

lmao. Naughty, naughty.... evil_smiley.gif

I guess it could work on phones that have near to no bass ;).

OK, I'm going have to give 1.1.7 a go now. If this does prove to be better (to me) than 1.2.7, there seems to be an unfortunate trend here where each new release may bring operational improvements but at the expense of sound quality.
I hope iBasso will heed the comments in this thread and work towards improving not only the functionality of the player but also, more importantly, its sound!

To my ear, the 1.2.7 suites my needs. It is great to have choices! I never saw this coming with the DX, that software choices could be utilized to shape to an individuals choice.

Just thought I'd share how I'm storing music on my DX100, in case anyone finds it useful.

Within the Music folder on my NAS storage, I have Favourites and Music-other. I keep all my classic albums on Favourites, along with anything new I may want to have access to. I use MediaMonkey to scan the Favourites folder only and then periodically "sync" this to the DX100's internal storage.

I just need to check that the Favourites folder doesn't exceed 64Gb. So, by dragging and dropping albums between Music-other and Favourites and vice versa, I can be sure I have my favourite albums with me at all times.

For the 64Gb micro SD card, I use Winamp. I set this to scan the Music-other folder only (and there's far more than 64Gb of this). Then I use the auto-fill function for the micro-SD card, specifying the "full albums only" option.

With around 9000 tracks available, and the opportunity to always listen to full albums if I choose, I find this is a good way to manage my music collection.

Wizard of Oz, just out of interest, which software do you use to rip your image/cue files?

XLD on OS X, dBPowerAmp on W8 & K3b on Ubuntu.

1 annoying thing about 1.1.7 is there's a slight fade in and out when skipping tracks. Anyone know how to stop this?

The only way I know of to stop it is not to skip tracks! 1.2.7 does it too, by the way.

It seems to be something to do with the stock player because it doesn't happen with the neutron, gonemad and andless player apps.
