Is it in the About Section?
I think I see it.

Settings -> About Device -> # listed under Build number is the firmware version.
Go to settings, then to About Device and you will see the build number at the bottom of the list that comes up.

I sure seem to have gapless. One song goes to the next with no noise or fade out and fade in. Just song to song. This is in the native setting.
There is still difference in Album Artist tag and Artist tag. iBasso can always sort by Album Artist, and if the files have no information in this field only it look for Artist tag. I believe that wouldn't be much a problem. Album Artist tag is important in my opinion, especially in Classical genre.

I'm wondering how I, and others can describe the gapless issue as "not good at all" and figgie can describe it as "TRUELLY gapless!" Is the discrepancy just a matter of terminology? Are you using the cross-fade feature that they label as "Gapless". This is a case where iBasso just used the wrong English word in the UI. What they call Gapless is really what everyone else would call cross-fade. Since cross-fade is not a feature I'm interested in with my music I leave that set to "Native play". And in that mode there is NO gapless playback. I don't want cross-fade; I want gapless.
And saying "the sorting is fixed" is not completely accurate, either. Tracks in playlists are now backwards and there is no ability to re-sort. And you cannot re-sort while looking at tracks in an album. For sorting to be 'fixed' I would need the ability to re-sort while viewing tracks in Directory, Playlists, Album, Artists, etc. (A-Z and Z-A). I never use the All Music list.
For me leaving it at "Native Play" do a true gapless for me. No silence, no click, no pops, and I'm happy with it, at least happier than the previous firmware.
For the sorting, I believe ibasso will keep on improving the firmware, though from A-Z or Z-A is not an issue for me, but I need the album sort in right order because sometimes Im quite enjoying listening to a whole album, from first to last track. In conclusion, I'm still happy with this Firmware and I consider it an improvement.
Gapless native play was indeed Gapless for me. On the 5 and 10 sec settings that has a slight fade in and a pop or click which I did not like.
You guys remember saying how the DX100 sounded sometimes a bit dark, veiled....well now that I received my Miracles, this is just history. I also burned in the player for 100 hours, and it sounds just perfect, balanced and energetic. Just need to finish burning in the Continental V3 and see how this little perfect family gets along.
Exactly.Since there is no button that could cause this, I had two possible solution, either the earphone cable moves slightly (I doubt it), or the accelerometer is going crazy. Anyone else encounter this. Because in my opinion, this is much more anoying than lack of true gapless !
Just checking in - True gapless for me as well. I had the issue where it suddenly shuts down mid-playback but I can't reproduce it now. And by golly, they made it sound even better.
That is what I find. I am surprised about the sound but this thing just gets better. A larger but still cohesive soundstage and deep but well articulated bass. I now see why gapless is so nice. It flows through an album now.
Its happened to me a few times too

I was going to say that too.
However, I have also found sometimes that the screen has come on and I'm guessing that the bouncing around in my pocket has touched the screen and forwarded the song on
WIFI Connection..
I have seen in this thread that the DX100's WIFI is not very stable, but generally I don't seem many complaints about it. I just got my set a couple of days ago, and I need to place the DX100 literally centimetres away from my wireless modem to get any connection (1-2 bars signal strength), anything further and it will be disconnected. My modem is working fine as I have other wireless devices connected as well. I have done a factory reset, but the problem is still there.
Is this normal, or something wrong with my set?

Nope. The WIFI is pretty ****ty in my experience too.

There was something mentioned some time ago (maybe ask Sorensiim) regarding the DX100 constantly disconnecting if the modem is set to multiple channels or something like that. I forgot exactly what it was but by changing this setting to a lower setting on the modem resolved the issue.
