Not only is mine slow, but it also seems to have not, as yet, mastered indefinite articles.

Thanks for the kind offer!
Mine will get here in the end ... I hope. I suspect the issue is closer to my end in India rather than China, so it wouldn't make much of a difference unless someone was to actually physically drop it in my mailbox.
It's late here anyway. I'll sleep and it'll be waiting for me tomorrow morning, by which time you all will have figured out the update is complete rubbish and want to revert back.
Cheerspost #10071 of 116611/23/13 at 10:29amDone! Sounds good so far, not much difference compared to the last firmware. The bass seems to have a bit more rumble with a little bit longer decay.
But it's really gapless now. The first second of the song is back!!
...However, the response seems to be a second slower. not a issue for me:)

...However, the response seems to be a second slower. not a issue for me:)Not tried the "really gapless" bit but I concur about not much diff. Having said that there's something that makes me want to hang on to my DX100 just a little longer despite me thinking of selling it since I got my RWAK100. Maybe I need to spend more time with this firmware.
BTW, did you try the EQ flat vs non-EQ? I know there's always been a difference (primarily dB) but this time at least for me, there almost is a weird "noise cancelation" type effect instead? Maybe it's just me...but if you could please give it a shot and let me know if it's the same as before or if it's gotten weirder, that's greatly appreciated.

Yeah I tired that too. The flat EQ seems to be even quieter with a little bit softer sounding. I understand your "noise canceling effect" impression.
There is another thing that I dislike. When I change a song, there is a clipping type of sound (for a few mili-seconds) coming from the previous song before getting into the new song, which is louder (offends me sometimes). Quite annoying, this never happens in the last firmware.
I wonder why ibasso release this firmware? What exactly did they improve?

I haven't noticed the clipping-type sound. Presumably this is with gapless albums? I'm loading Phantom of the Opera now to test that. Didn't notice it with my Buena Vista Social Club or Star Wars Trilogy albums yet.
I have a feeling of all ppl here (aside from iBasso), figgie may shed a little more light as to what this firmware is about. I won't be surprised if some (or all?) of his requests were incorporated into this firmware.
EDIT:
One more thing, Media Scanner seems quite fast now? I'm not using any external microSD this time, just dumping tracks onto the internal memory.

I have also noticed that media scanning is much faster since the update. Will be interesting to see if there is any effect on battery life.post #10076 of 116611/23/13 at 1:52pm- Poetic

So far so good. No clicks and one song moves into the next very cleanly.
