I was really enjoying these terrific cans , but I was about to give up on them due to the discomfort of the clamping pressure on my outer ears. Sometimes all you have to do is step back & apply some of the things you've learned w/ some of your previous phones. I remember what I did with a previous set of Beyers that tried to squeeze OJ out of your head. The solution is to apply enough pressure to the headband so that you slighty "unbend" the shape of the metal band(or bands in this case) a few degrees back toward the original flat state of the metal before it was rolled to the state of the existing bend. Proceed very slowly & use both hands evenly spaced from the center of top of the band & pull upward evenly to where you feel you've gone a bit beyond the shape toward the flat shape . Go slowly, & try the fit a few times. The great thing about the double bands is that you can bring a little bit of the clamp pressure back by spreading the bands further apart ,once you have them where you want them on your head. Take your time , this is a very "doable" & satisfying fix for a great set of headphones. Seems too simple to work does'nt it? Try it. don't give up on these phones you'll have to spend considerably more to do better than these! Get to bending! In retrospect the original clamping pressure really does these great phones a disservice & should only be available like this on special request.
