Searching for a Review...Otherwise Known As "Read This Post Despite The Uselessly Boring Title"

Awhile back, on a busy day, I checked into Head-Fi before heading to work in the morning. Being the internet, fifteen minutes after checking responses to a thread I'd found myself completely sidetracked. I'd come across something that captivated me. A long, legendary, poetic review that I barely remember anything of now. I quickly bookmarked it, then hurried along with my day.

Three days later, my old HP-Compaq laptop running on XP decided to fail me, completely. Nothing was recovered from the hard drive, which has thoroughly fried itself. With that loss, I'd lost the thread I so wanted to read.

Does anybody know with this legendary and legendarily long review lies on Head-Fi? I would like to bask in multiple prefaces, poetic diction, and the radiance of great audio writing that I lost... ♫the day...my laptop...died♫.

Please help me track it down, Head-Fiers!

Sincerely,

That's my problem. In the rush, I just pages down and saw many, many words, then I bookmarked it and left for work. I believe it was a full-size headphone, and it may have been a TOTL can.

C'mon man what are you guys from Wisconsin smoking' these days ! Must have been some strong #%^t.  You didn't wake up in a Motel 6 wearing someone else's clothes did you .? You could always ask Wikipedia they seem to have a handle on inquiries like this ! Good Luck & next time share some of your "stash" ( You are right about losing information  because of damn Internet though. So maybe you are just a victim of circumstance. Nah... I choose to believe my 1st explanation )

I'll give this one last go. Does anybody know the thread I'm talking about?

On a serious note , try to see if the Head fi search engine will allow you to make a search of all postings submitted by date. Even this may prove fruitless if you can't remember the date the posting was submitted (not the date you read it, there is a wide variance of dates within just about any thread from weeks to months or greater given the interest level of the subject being mulled over.) If it was a headphone posting of the magnitude you speak of , you might start searching the largest threads first as anytime you find a posting that impresses you to the degree it did , it's likely quite a few others were similarily impressed. Good luck, but don't get your hopes too high as I think you'll have to rack your memory a bit more before you can accomplish any success given your lack of search criteria.
