Destroyed a driver in the DIY phase. Is not a serious loss since I was trying to fix them, the left side completely was gone so I was thinking a recable would fix it. In the process I destroyed the driver completely.
I am looking for replacement 50MM drivers. No necessarily the exact same (drop in), but a quality one. I would NOT want to take a new set of headphones and rip the drivers out. If I can find some replacement drivers, that would be ideal.
The headphones are the Sony MDR-F1 and they use a 50 MM driver. I am willing to experiment and am totally prepared to try the drivers and then concede total loss.
I saw in other threads that people had found Ultrasone Edition 9 drivers. I don't care if they are those drivers, just some quality ones (i.e. trusted brand).
Ideas where to get them?
