Something odd has happend, when I was fiddling with the settings to increase the volume in one of the drivers that always seems to be a bit lower than the other one, I pulled out the plug to check that it was plugged in correctly and that there was no dirt or dust in the connector.
And when I put it back (I was wearing the headphones at the time) an EXTREMELY lound beeping noise suddenly appeared, so I tore them off my head and flipped the power switch to my computer to stop the noise quickly.
I then restarted the computer and everything was back to normal, but there is some random crackling noise sounding when I listen to music/watch movies. It appears on all volume settings, not always the high ones. It appears to be entirely random, when playing a music track it doesnt appear twice at the same place.
Have I managed to do the unthinkable and crack the drivers in my brand new phones?
Or is the problem somewhere else?
