She may be happy with it now, but I seriously doubt she's going to be happy with it when she reaches that age where we realize just how stupid we were as adolescents. If I branded my body with some of the things I drew and thought to myself "hey that's cool" at that age, I'd be mortified now.

Also I'm suddenly struck by a rather bizarre realization.

In 50 years there are going to be a lot of elderly men with My Little Pony tattoos....

...and they'll look practically normal among the millions of people who were in their teens and twenties during the early decades of the 21st century.

Probably better than most, for that matter.

Hopefully for these people (artificial) skin transplants are perfected and cheap in the future, as that would make removing those dreaded tattoos not as bad as it is now.

I find the thought of a grizzled elderly man with a Scootaloo tattoo endearing. Especially if he talks to it.

I've always wanted to get small tattoo of a barcode on the back of my head, and each time someone pointed it out I would pretend I never knew about it and freak out.

Classical (mostly chamber > string quartets), Rock (specially the more experimental type > King Crimson/ Henry Cow/ VdGG & Beatles), Jazz (J. Coltrane, K. Wheeler, T. Gustavsen Trio & T. Stanko), and some World & Pop.
Nice to see another fan of these awesome bands.

I mean, it's not a little tattoo... she's taking up the majority of that dopey girl's upper arm. Even a well drawn anime girl would be awkward, especially when you get to be middle aged and at the beach or working out at the gym; then when you're an elderly woman, suddenly that magical girl is all wrinkly and saggy. It's all the more awkward when it's so terribly drawn on top of it, obviously the result of a poor semi-trace attempt, the type of post pre-teens and teenagers make to DeviantArt with the disclaimer "MY OC!!! DO NOT STEAL!!!"

And while the other is lame too, at least with the tattoo of a molecule of an illicit substance not everyone is going to automatically spot the fail from a mile away lol.

True, but on the other hand, the anime one is rather harmless while a drug is, well, a drug. (OC?)

Personally, I think it was more of a thing she wanted to do to be unique, and not so much subtle - even if the end result in itself was more subtle than a marijuana leaf. This girl (well, she's a woman now) did end up at a rehab at a later point in life and ironically, the very thing she was propagating, using her body as a billboard, was also the very thing that ended up ruining a big portion of her life.

Kind of reminds of that "Run into a store asking what year it is. When someone answers yell "It worked" and run out cheering" thing.

Having a big ugly tattoo can be quite harmful to one's psyche.
