I tried to see what My Bloody Valentine's metacritic score was... and it's not even listed? Just the stupid movie.

Looks like I'll be able to get the Heaven IV much sooner than I expected. I like the white color scheme the most, but violet is interesting...

I just had a nice hour long listening session on my DT1350's using my UHA-4 to amp them. I'm really shocked right now. The low end finally has a little authority, the highs aren't as grainy anymore and there's some added air up there, the upper mids are finally controlled and there's very little sibilance, the vocals went from great to heavenly. The DT1350 just shined and shined and gave me incredible detail and depth like it's never done before. The bad news, mediocre sounding music that was badly recorded now sounds like complete garbage on the amped DT1350 and is practically unlistenable compared to what good recorded source can do. It's interesting, when I paired Marilyn with my Beyer the best way I can describe the presentation would be to use the word fluid, especially in the mids. When I pair it with Sally though the word fluid goes out the window and the only words I can use to describe the presentation is words like quick (note decay was quick before but now it sounds crazy fast) , detailed (I'm hearing stuff I never heard before), natural (vocals sound crazy realistic), attack (fast passages just hit you in the face) and refined (no blur or haze especially with string instruments).

Romy I remember you had a DT1350 listed in your profile page does any of what I just described make sense to you or am I just suffering from new toy syndrome?

Beyer 1350, is a picky can, and sometimes they refer to it as the "mini T5p".

I noticed there is a sweat spot for it to be placed on your ears, little movements in its position, will make it better or worse, try to move it  while listing, and you will understand what I mean.

Yeah I know I've had these for awhile and I always found myself fiddling with the fit to get that sweet spot. I was able to solve that problem a week ago or so when I ran across a user who popped Sennheiser HD25 pads on over the stock DT1350 pads to attain a perfect seal. I had my spare white pads from my own HD25 lying around and tried out the mod and it worked perfectly. I just pop them on now adjust the headband and that's it.

It's quite easy actually, you take a pair of the HD25 pads and roll up the black plastic edges. You put the Senn pads over the the Beyer pads and roll the plastic black edges down over the cups. The Senn pads will fit snugly over the cups. It's a bit of a pain in the butt to get the edges rolled over straight but after a little determination and practice it becomes no big deal. When you're done they should look like the picture below. Oh and so you know they hold on tight when you got them on your head but once you pop them off your head the HD25 pads can pop off quite easily.

Bachdenkel - "An Appointment With the Master"

Among one of my personal favorite tracks.

The song was reportedly inspired by Losey's film Eva, so someone used it here as an accompaniment. No actual videos exist of Bachdenkel performing.
