You haven't tried different songs from different albums and artists?

 

Some master recordings, especially very old ones will unavoidably have a little to somewhat mild noise.

 

Also, depending whether or not you purchased or pirated the music (not at all accusing by the way), pirated FLAC's especially higher resolution FLAC's are often analog vinyl transfers which will result in noise depending on the recording equipment and software used.

 

Try a recent song that has a little bit of digital silence, such as a few seconds lead-in or lead-out, or a brief pause in the song.

Yep, definitely the track.  Just listened to it and its got a light background hiss.  It's not too noticeable at my normal listening level, but if I turn up the volume a bit, it's clearly audible.

 

That's why I told you to check with different tracks.

Just to follow up...

 

Immediately upon pressing play... Yes this track most certainly has hiss in the recording.

 

I don't mean to give you a hard time, but shouldn't this have been the first thing you checked?

 

And to be sure, have you tried listening to other songs, from entirely different artists and albums?

To be fair, micJaGr said there was still noise with my noiseless test track a couple pages back.  So there's just more noise with a lot of recordings (which have noise in them)?
