Ibasso P4 charging issue

I recently received a new Ibasso P4 and fully charged it as soon as i got it. I have been burning this in for the past 2 days on the initial charge but i went to plug it in today after about 30 hours of use and the charge lever on the back will not stay up in the charge position. The P4 did not come with any instructions and the manual on the website does not mention anything about this so i was wondering if anyone has ran into this. Also if i hold the lever up in the charge position and plug in the power adapter the red charging light will not come on. Any info would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have a faulty unit, which is rare for ibasso.

 

Get in touch with your supplier and ask for a replacement.

 

Btw it's the chinese new year, so ibasso might not reply for a bit if you bought if from them.

 

Usually they're pretty responsive.

 

Id stick with the amp as it's a cracking unit otherwise.

That's the answer i was afraid of. I just sent them a message explaining the situation so now its just a waiting game until i get a replacement. I love it so far so the waiting is going to be double tough but maybe now i can get them to send me a black one like i initially ordered. Thanks for the quick response.

In case anyone was curious it was the charging switch that was defective.
