ATH-M50 burning in questions

Yesterday i bought one of these and at first i was really disappointed. It sounded worse than my Philips headphones worth 10$. But as the time went by they improved greatly, but still i feel a lack of bass when connected to my new desktop PC with ALC892 Realtek audio (best realtek available). But when i connect these headphones to my old school Pioneer SA-706 stereo amplifier the bass inceases dramatically, in fact i'd say its overwhelming... So my question is as the time goes by will the bass will become more balanced? I mean will it increase on ALC892 and become more balanced on Pioneer SA-706?

You shouldn't expect any magical changes from the headphone itself with burn-in.  If anything it'll just be your brain getting used to its sound signature, and over time the M50 will be your neutral.

But i still think it shouldn't be 0 bass when connected to desktop pc. Its like night and day (desktop vs pioneer sa-706). Will see how it goes  after 40hours of burn-in. Though still i'd like to know does anyone else feel a lack of bass when connected to their desktop PC's without amp?

It's not connected to your desktop pc, it's connected to your realtek card.  Realtek is real bad for having bass rolloff.

So you think i should get a better sound card? On Realtek highs and mids sounds fine but bass is very underpowered. Pioneer SA-706 + some sound card should sound even better? Though alot of people say there's no noticeable difference between newest realtek audio and some discrete sound cards.
