~150$ IEM to Listen to Electronic Dance Music (FXT90s vs. EPH-100s) - Page 3

So...

Either the FXT90's, EPH-100, TF10, or FX500...

Edit: I don't think the FX500 will do...

So we're down to three

Anybody can tell me what are the differences in the signature?

BTW, does it make a difference being a WAV/lossless or a 320 kps mp3 file?

What you actually get is very deep sub-bass, with sparkly treble and a high level of clarity. However why it didn't initially come to mind is that the treble on the MG7 can be slightly fatiguing. I can't imagine it being worse than the GR07 though, although I haven't compared both directly.

Indeed... it was silly of me to forget the Atrios. You should definitely consider these Beatbox. I've not heard them personally, but they certainly meet your criteria... furthermore, they've been selling with 50% off recently, putting them at a mere $100. Have a good read before you order the FXT90s.

Congrats beerchug.gif

And I look forward to reading your impressions on the MG7 thread.

I'm very satisfied with current phones, but am def curious about the Atrios. If the 50% discount was valid in the UK, I'd have probably have ordered a pair by now.

Perhaps I shouldn't have said that... knowing my luck someone will link me a discounted UK retailer, the inevitable will happen, and my angry wallet will break free of my pocket and beat me about the head.

The CK90 was, unfortunately, dropped for its price... :(

How do they compare, from someone who heard them both? Maybe a link to a comparison? Care about energy, speed and fun. Also about female vocals, bass punchiness, and mids for the house music.

***BTW, thanks a lot guys you're sooo helpful!

if you want a good punch, and can sacrifice a little bit of impact of the bass, have a look at UE700, I am loving mine to use with EDM, it doesn't seem much but will deliver when called upon (any Cosmic Gate/Nic Chagal tunes)

Couldn't find the discount so I got the 143$ ones. They're brown, since that color costs 15 bucks less than the black ones and like 35 less than the blue ones. Plus they're less ugly than the rest (lets face it: the atria mg7's look really, really bad).

About the appreciation thread: I won't lay my hands on these phone for like 4 weeks since I'm shipping to the US and waiting for a friend to pick it up and bring it with him (no shipping to Israel).

But be prepared for an appreciation thread by a total n00b

No need for a thread, just post in the existing MG7 thread... and only if you want to (no pressure).

Lol... yeah, IMO the only things that are uglier than the the MG7s are B2s and DDMs. I think Joker refereed to them as "somewhat unsightly but highly practical", which I'm inclined to agree with. The MG7s are also reportedly very robust and sturdy, properties which take precedent over looks by a large margin.

I'm sorry you'll have to wait so long, but reckon it'll be worth it.
