Grado SR60i, Bass light?

Hello guys and girls, I'm new here, and don't know much about headphones beyond the basics. So can anybody enlighten me on why in most of the reviews I've read, the Grado SR60i is regarded as a bass light headphone?
I went out and bought a pair of SR60i's last week as both my Sennheiser CX-300II's and CX-55's broke. Compared to them both I would say the SR60i's has plenty of bass and I actually like the Grado's bass more than the Sennheisers. The basslines are clear and tight which makes it easy for transcribing, and there is a good amount of sound seperation and detail. Although the frequency response is less than the Sennheisers (20hz-20khz compared to 17hz-22khz). Is there an explanation for this?

The explanation is that Grado has a 'mid-bass' hump that emphasizes the bass giving a healthy thump and more impact in that part of the sound spectrum. They are impressive sounding for the price!
