Got my HE-500s in today.  Man these are some sensitive headphones.  On the B22 I'm only at 9:30 on the volume knob.  With the HE-6 I'll be at 3:30 - that's crazy.

 

They sound really good though.  I'm letting them burn in for a while - like till the weekend.  Then I'll put them to the test.

Hi Prepro,

 

Had the same problem after I bought the he-6's & the MJ....volume at 3 o'clock..after 7-10 days went down to 1 o'clock

 

How do they compare to the He-6's

I was looking at the 500's as well?

The volume changed?  That's odd, never had that happen.

 

I didn't compare them yet - just letting the 500s burn in for now.

Hi. I've heard the HE-6 but not the HE-500. I thought that the HE-6 sounded fantastic and was tempted to spring for it but I don't have a head amp powerful enough to drive it. Would the HE-500 come close to the HE-6's level of performance powered by a Burson HA-160? Thanks.
