new record player/ turntables

I'm not sure if this is in the right section or not. But I am looking for a record player with a built in audio and an aux port so I can connect it to my speakers as well. I want to spend around a 100. I don't need anything fancy or top of the line just something that will do its job. Does anyone have any experience with this or suggestion??

I'm a little confused by your question.  So, help me understand a little better.

Do you want a record player that is also an amplifier built in that you can hook speakers into?

Or, do you want a record player that has a line out that feeds into another amplifier?

One with a built in amp. I saw one on amazon with a 3.5mm jack for headphones but I didn't know how good it would be

Please post a link so I can take a look at it.

I can't imagine that would be any good.  I'm pretty sure most of the price is due to its looks, not how it actually performs.  And I've also seen some of these type players in my local Target store, and upon close inspection, you can see just how cheaply they are made.  I'd stay away and save your money.

I see. Do you have any suggestionsof a product with the similar functions?

Sadly, I do not.  I usually buy all separate components.  I've never been a fan of components all bundled together, for various reasons.

Indeed that is really a novelty, not a serious audio product.

If you really want to buy a TT super cheap, you could try this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Technica-AT-LP60-Automatic-Driven-Turntable/dp/B002GYTPAE

It might sound OK.  You can do MUCH better but it will cost more like $300.  But at least that be isn't a toy.

You can't hook it right up to speakers though.  You have to connect it to an amp.  It does have a built in phono preamp though so you can connect it to any amp.

On a budget you can get a decent 80's amp or reciever from ebay for 50 or 60 bucks. Turntables are now getting back in vouge so the prices are getting higher...you can get a belt drive TT for probably 100 bucks. I would recommend you search your local thrift stores or goodwill for some used stuff...in addition to garage sales. Where are you located?

i'm located in orange county. so the best way to listen to vinyl would be to purchase a turn table and a separate amp?
