I am always hunting for the greatest soundstage. As far i found the following having the best:

^if you like bass, the Denon D1100 have an excellent soundstage for portable use.

 Just make sure that you audition them off a top source, a really great CD transport of DAC - these are

 like the HD800 and LCD-3 - total 'DAC Assassins' :-) They will murder the source if it's anything less

 than top notch, it's certainly one of those cans that has exposed any flaws in my rig and I thought

 it was a pretty tight ship.

 

 In my mind, those three cans are the only three that have transcended the greatest divide when

 setup properly - they sound almost speaker like, almost..

 

 The HD800 with the right ultimately gets the imaging gong, but the PS1000 and LCD-3 battle

 it out for sheer thickness of sonic presentation.
