Actually, the official site does have some info on the GR01

Judging from the size, they probably use the TWFK, but it looks like they spent time tuning it; with that screw-on cap, they probably could've implemented a tuning system like the PFE232 and K3003...

You're right, but in fact I was refering to an actual product page, like the one's they have for the rest of their product range... rolleyes.gif

they just arrived to lendmeurears and are for $175

and they DO use the TWFK drivers!

$175 is better than I thought. Not $25 more like was reported. I have an urge to try the GR08 when it comes out. Maybe this bode well that it will only be $100 more than the GR01 and sound 90% as good as the other triple driver hybrid K3003bigsmile_face.gif. Actually if they use the GR07 driver, the TWFK, the right cable and tune them right it is actually do-able. Certainly not out of the realm but not probably won't be quite that good. Though, if they could do that and charge $300 for them they would clean up! Who wouldn't buy one!

Read that quickly at first and I thought you actually had a pair Kanuka!

The right price, IMO. Higher than some other TWFK but better build and accessories. Closer to the pricier CK 10 than the more cheaply made DBA-02. I'm sure impressions will show up soon. GR01 vs. GR07 is extremely intriguing!

With that screw on cap, it looks the same diameter tip as the Meelec CC51, or at least it does to me rolleyes.gif

I just ordered the GR06, and kind of glad I didn't see these. Dey so pretty!

heh. you made me interested in them jant!

but i'm also waiting for some experienced users reviews

personally i wonder how they compare to the others  TWFK (mainly the DBA-02 and CK10)

Lendmeurears seem to have a Head-fi review promotion to save a few more bucks as well. Limited to the first 10. And they have a US location now so 2-5 day USPS shipping.

Now I'm sure we'll see some reviews fairly soon.

Found a comparison between the GR07 and GR01 FWIW.

Will be waiting for impressions on these.

well i've just read a short opinion of lendmeurears on facebook: (if that helps ...)

"We listerned the SQ is very much similiar to the B2. To us, it is slightly easier to drive and slightly better on the treble side though. But really it is only very very slight. Will recommend it to those who wants a B2/DBAish sound but do not want to wear it over the ears."

Okay!! That just stopped me dead in my tracks!! I never liked the DBA-02 sound. So that saves me some money. I'll just wait and the dynamic dual BA hybrid then. Back to concentrating on the Sony XBA-4, Cardas Mirror and Audiofly hybrid.

Me too. After the having/trying out CK10 and DBA-02 why go down that road again. Esp. with a Rocco P as one of my sources. I also await the GR08 hybrid and for now back to the XBA-4, Cardas Mirror, and SA7.smile.gif

i'm not so surprised, i didnt expect them to be much different. it was either like dba-02 or q=jays

and now that you mention the XBA-4. what's their price? i've seen them for ~$360-70 on ebay...havent seen a 4-ba for that price

Amazon list them pre-order in the USA for $349 (without the mic). I don't think they're suppose to hit here until March though. I may break down and give up the extra $10 for the Japanese version on ebay...
